We took photos of Mason and his family last weekend. He was a lot of fun and so ready to have his picture taken – I think we had the shot finished in the first 3 frames. Mason’s Christmas outfit is pretty cute, too. Good job, Mom. Their dog, Camo, did really well for a puppy that has so much energy.
We’ve been photographing my nephew every month since he was born and now he is a year old. It is so incredible seeing him grow—so much to learn and such a huge amount of curiosity he has. It amazes me to think we all used to be like that. He is totally fascinated with throwing things and then going after them only to throw them again. He just started standing and doing a little walking a week or two ago and his personality and character are starting to develop and show through. It’s very, very cool to witness. At least, I think so.

I have been very lazy about getting photos up here as I shoot them. There is a quote from David Ziser’s new book “Captured by the light” commenting about blogging, “you have to feed the beast or it will die.” That’s his quote from a statement made to him by Scott Kelby. Since I want to build a successful photography business and these days social networking is a MUST, I obviously don’t want this blog to die. So, I will do my best to make regular posts from now on. It won’t be daily, I can’t do that, but maybe every week. I’ll try, I promise.
Here are more photos of my nephew, Asher. We’ve been photographing him every month since he was born and these are his 8 month photos. I’ll put samples of the other shoots up soon. It’s amazing to see how fast he is growing and developing into a little man. His name Asher is from the Bible and means happy and he sure is. His mom and dad are doing a great job raising him and giving him tons of love and attention. He is one of the happiest babies I’ve ever seen. If you click on any of the photos you can see them larger. And, if you know the password, you can see the rest of the photo session here.
Wow! I am very privileged to have been able to take some of the first photos of my sister-in-law’s and her husband’s new baby boy. And what a beautiful baby he is. His mom and dad were so tired but they were real troupers throughout the photo session. They are so proud and we are all very happy for them. Asher is so new to the world that his skin is still pealing. Here are a few of the many photos we took Saturday morning.
